How we collect, share and use personal data

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Contact forms

Similar to comments, we collect the data shown in the “Contact us” form. This will include your name, email address and any personal information shared in the message.

Newsletter

Streaming Clarity offers visitors the option to sign up for our newsletter. This allows us to provide an easy way for visitors to get our latest news and tips delivered to their mailbox. In an attempt to limit the amount of data we collect, our mailing list only requires users to provide their email address.

As described in this privacy policy, information may be shared with third-parties when the user interacts with a third-party element. This can include videos and links. However, that is not us sharing the data as we do not have access to or control over third-party elements.

For how long do we retain your data for?

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are there forever.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except for usernames). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
