Hulu Live TV subscribers are set to gain access to an additional 14 ViacomCBS channels, thanks to a new deal having been struck between the two companies. The new agreement expands on the one that was already in place, confirming the already available ViacomCBS networks will remain on Hulu Live TV.
Over the last year, many live TV streaming services have increased in price. At the same time, there’s been quite the reshuffling of channel lineups. In most cases, channels added have arrived shortly before, after, or at the same time as a price increase. However, a number of channels have been removed as well.
In terms of Hulu Live TV, channels recently removed included Fox RSNs and CBS affiliates. Likewise, while the service is now gaining some new channels, the price of a Hulu Live TV subscription increased by $10 per month in December, bringing the total to $65. Therefore, these channels are unlikely to result in another price increase anytime soon.
In an announcement, ViacomCBS confirmed the new deal with Hulu Live TV. The agreement not only ensures existing ViacomCBS channels remain available, but also results in fourteen new channels coming to the service. In spite of now having been confirmed, the announcement did not specify when these channels will go live for Hulu Live TV subscribers.

- BET Her
- Comedy Central
- MTV Classic
- Nick Jr.
- Paramount Network
- TV Land
CBS locals, but not the ones already gone
The announcement does make it clear that previously agreed channels will remain available through Hulu Live TV. This includes CBS Sports Network and CBS broadcast stations. However, that’s not to say it includes the CBS affiliates that were recently removed from Hulu Live TV.
Unlike the ones included in the new ViacomCBS agreement, the carriage rights to the missing CBS locals are owned and managed by Sinclair Broadcast Group. As a result, the possibility of those CBS affiliates returning remains dependent on Hulu Live TV and Sinclair agreeing new terms as well.
