fuboTV Subscribers Can Now Add Epix to Their TV Plan

fuboTV subscribers now have another way to expand the content available through their live TV plan, albeit at an additional monthly cost.

fuboTV subscribers can now add Epix to their plan for an additional $5.99 per month. As part of the initial premium add-on launch, anyone who does add Epix will pay a reduced cost for the first three months.

Premium add-ons provide an additional way for consumers to increase the amount of channels and content they have access to. Most live TV streaming services provide this option, with some of the more common premium networks available including, Epix, Stars, and Showtime.

fuboTV has now confirmed that subscribers can add Epix to their live TV package for $5.99 per month, starting from today. During the next 30 days, anyone who adds Epix will only pay $2.99 per month for the first three months. The add-on includes access to Epix, Epix 2 and Epix Hits.

With Epix now coming into the fuboTV fold, it joins Showtime ($10.99 per month) and AMC Premiere ($4.99 per month), along with the other combined channels packs that the service currently offers. Epix is available on all fuboTV plans, including the Standard plan.

Epix live, but no VOD yet

For anyone now thinking of adding Epix to their fuboTV package, it is worth noting that the premium network is being added in stages. For example, today’s announcement mainly applies to the live TV side of Epix, as there is no on-demand access available just yet.

That will change with fuboTV confirming Epix titles will become available as on demand content, “in the coming weeks.” This will also include select programming in 4K.

There is no financial incentive to adding Epix to a fuboTV plan, considering the standalone Epix Now app is available on a number of platforms and devices, and provides on demand access to Epix content for the same $5.99 per month.

However, that’s not to say there are no benefits to adding a premium network to a live TV subscription. For starters, these channels and their respective content is integrated within the live TV streaming app, doing away with the need to download another app and switch between them. In addition, there’s the added benefit of combined billing and payments for the two different subscriptions.
