fuboTV App Now Available to Download on LG Smart TVs

fuboTV’s app is now available to download on webOS devices, providing LG smart TV users with another option for watching live TV channels.

fuboTV is now available to download on select LG smart TV models. The newly added support provides fuboTV subscribers with another option for tuning in to their favorite live TV channels or watching on demand content in the home. At the same time, it provides LG TV users with another live TV streaming option in general.

fuboTV plans start at $64.99 per month and come with a good selection of news, entertainment and sports channels. Generally speaking, the live TV streaming service also comes with a good level of device support, although smart TV brands are one of the least supported device categories, with Samsung previously the best option for those looking to watch fuboTV on a TV that’s not powered by either Android TV, Fire TV or Roku OS.

Starting today, that list of supported smart TV brands and models has grown a little, thanks to the addition of LG support in the U.S. LG’s smartTVs come running on the company’s webOS platform with the fuboTV app now available to directly download on the TVs. At present, the new support extends to webOS-powered smart TVs released between 2018 and 2021, including the company’s OLED lineup.

With the new LG smart TV app, fuboTV subscribers will be able to take advantage of a number of additional features, including creating an individual profile for up to six different users. This is in addition to a customizable guide, the ability to record an entire series or all games for one team with the tap of a button, and quickly jump to the next episode through fuboTV’s Watch Next feature.

More options for watching on an LG smart TV

LG smart TV users now have an additional option for watching live TV channels and on demand content directly on their smart TV. With the fuboTV app now available to download, it joins Hulu Live TV, Sling TV and YouTube TV. Users of an LG smart TV can either head over to the fuboTV webOS app store page (link) to check if their smart TV is currently supported or simply use the device’s store app to directly search for fuboTV and download it from there.

Once downloaded, they will only need to log in using their existing subscription details to authenticate their account and start streaming live TV and on demand content. For those new to the service, fuboTV does offer a free trial, allowing users of an LG smart TV to download the app and test the service out before having to commit to the monthly payment.
